Our Technology

Senior Director, Engineering

ServiceSource is revolutionizing the way companies manage recurring revenue streams. In fact, we’re already managing over $1B of our customer’s revenue on our proprietary platform - Renew OnDemandTM. Our Engineering Team will be working on critical initiatives like:

• Solving real business problems that directly impact our customers’ ability to manage recurring revenue
• Creating key integrations with world class CRM products
• Shaping the way our customers manage data around their existing customers and market insights

As part of this, the Senior Director of Engineering will be responsible for leading the ServiceSource engineering team to ensure the product development process is predictable & scalable. The role will not only provide leadership of existing and newly hired engineers, but play a key role in balancing the need for an agile & lean development methodology with the needs of a robust yet disciplined product roadmap.


In a Nutshell

This person will partner extensively with Product Management in the ongoing development & releases of Renew on Demand our cloud based Recurring Revenue Management platform.


Opportunities to Make an Impact

The following outlines the impact and contributions that the incumbent will be able to make within the first 12-18 months:

• Create, shape and execute an agile development methodology that achieves a 2-3 week release cycle
• Hire key engineering talent to round out the existing team
• Partner with the product team to refine the product road map
• Establish professional development plans for individual engineers


Additional Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering organization in new SaaS products
• Maintain effective working relationships with Product Management, Program Management, Architecture & Services
• Provide strategic direction on the long-term product roadmap
• Establish professional development plans for the engineering team as a whole in order to rapidly scale the SaaS business
• Understand & articulate the product vision both internally & externally
• Continue to champion the group’s evolution towards a disciplined, market driven product development organization
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, discipline & excellence with a constant focus on the needs of the customer & broader market opportunities

Technical Skills

• 10+ years of Engineering Leadership experience at high growth software/SaaS companies

• Expertise that enables meaningful conversations with product architects & engineers
• Big Data, DI/DQ/DE (data indexing, data quality, data enhancement), machine learning & analytics
• Variety of development methodologies, (i.e. Lean, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
• Commitment to the needs of the market yet practicality about product capabilities
• Implementing structure & discipline into evolving technology businesses
• SaaS/Cloud release management
